| Prosecutor Dennis Davey holds a bachelor's degree in English Teaching. He began his law enforcement career as a trooper in 1973. While holding the rank of Trooper, he led the Division in D.W.I. arrests, made a D.W.I. film that was aired on WMUR-TV, arrested and convicted an individual in possession of 12 pounds of marijuana, and implemented the original State Police Aircraft Unit. While holding the rank of Corporal, he authored, implemented, and taught the first curriculum and training ever done within the State Police in the subject areas of case preparation and prosecution, led his troop in D.W.I. arrests, served as an in-service training coordinator, and wrote a draft of the Implied Consent Law for the Attorney General's Office. While holding the rank of Sergeant, he served as oral board chairman for applicants to State Police, a NESPAC (New England State Police Administrators' Conference) NCO Academy Instructor, and Assistant Troop Commander of Troop E. He describes prosecution as "one of the most thankless and interesting jobs on the face of the planet." He is the proud father of 2 daughters, a son, 6 grandchildren and the grateful husband of the same woman for 36 years. Among his interests are reading, swimming, boating and fishing. |
