Lt. Dawson started his law enforcement career with the Moultonborough Police Department in 1996. He is a graduate of the 114th Police Academy. He serves as the department's Executive Officer, Field Training Officer, patrol supervisor, and is a traffic crash reconstructionist for the department. He is also a member of the Belknap Regional Accident Investigation Team. Lt. Dawson is also a member of the department's dive recovery team and holds an advanced dive certification. Lt. Dawson works part time for neighboring Meredith Police Department where he was awarded a letter of commendation for his role in pulling an elderly man from the freezing waters of Lake Winnipesaukee's Meredith Bay. In his spare time, Lt. Dawson enjoys competing in marathons and triathlons. He also enjoys camping with his wife, daughter and son all over New England.
